Central Coast Blue Wins National Award for Education and Outreach Efforts

Central Coast Blue received two prominent awards this year for exemplary education and outreach efforts—the first at the 2019 WateReuse California Annual Conference, and the second at the National WateReuse Symposium. Both awards recognize Central Coast Blue’s significant success in advancing public acceptance of recycled water and building support of the project years ahead of implementation. This regional reuse program made has been made possible through the collaboration of five partner agencies and an integrated team.

The National WateReuse Symposium was held in San Diego, California where it brought together water professionals from all over the country to celebrate those leading the way in recycled water. During the awards ceremony, the video highlighting Central Coast Blue’s innovative identity and value within the community was shared and celebrated.
